Analysis of Potential Changes in Medicaid Reimbursement for Long-term Care Services in Pennsylvania

CONSAD has completed an evaluation of the impacts of potential changes in state policy regarding Medicaid reimbursement for long-term care services in Pennsylvania. This evaluation involves both qualitative and quantitative analyses. This evaluation project is being funded by the Jewish Healthcare Foundation.

The project involved several research components, including the characterization of the current long-term care system in Pennsylvania, an assessment of possible changes in state Medicaid reimbursement policy, and the projection of impacts that would likely result from the possible changes in policy. The characterization of the current system will focused on the reimbursement system, the types and features of care delivery modes, and the numbers of residents of long-term care facilities, grouped according to their care needs.
